Three years ago next month, I sat with James in the San Diego airport and he was telling me about the comics school he was opening, The Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT. I probably appeared pretty incredulous at the time, but lo and behold in the Fall of 2005, the school did indeed open. The first class has now graduated and now comes the good news that the school is officially able to offer MFAs. Congratulations to the staff and students at CCS!
