The Nobel Peace laureate, peace advocate and fighter for democracy who was under house arrest for 15 years, as documented in Guy Delisle's book BURMA CHRONICLES:



You pull the book off the shelf, dust it off, and think to yourself that maybe Guy's portrait of this totalitarian society will one day be just a portrait in time, and that the changes the country has slowly made the past few years will push this country into democracy. Official results are expected in a few weeks, and we can only hope.
