The Making of (new Brecht Evens)--Also, interns are still the most awesome

Right now, we've got three go-getter interns here in the office helping out with the Fall into Winter books as well as a super secret project that we'll announce soon. And who have we here holding our single office copy of the forthcoming new Brecht Evens book The Making of but Alyssa Favreau. Alyssa has been helping out the last couple of months. She is tops!

Let's take a look at this book, shall we? Man, just page after page of Brecht's beautiful watercolor work. Amazing. If it's possible for an artist as accomplished and fully-formed as Brecht to advance then I have to say he really has. The Making of shows the same ability to understand people and their motivations with a more daring approach to composition and color. Truly something to behold.

Centering on an every-other-year arts festival in a small Flemish town, Brecht introduces us to a motley crew of professional and amateur artists as they prepare for the big opening night. Ambition, jealousy, compromise, lust are all here. This one will be in stores soon. AND PEOPLE, look for Brecht this year in San Diego at Comic-Con International!
