Miriam Katin is back with a simply stunning new novel

Ladies ladies ladies. We're all really, really excited about Miriam Katin's new book, Letting It Go. A companion piece to We Are On Our Own, Letting It Go deals with Miriam's reaction to her son's decision to move to Berlin. Being a holocaust survivor, this decision hits Miriam pretty hard, the story playing out in incredibly detailed, paneless pencil crayon with impeccable flow, always hitting just the right mood.

It's getting rarer and rarer that we actually get originals in the office (computers, pffft) so getting to turn this pile of original artwork into a book was a thrill for a production nerd such as myself.

And here's Miriam hard at work, drawing from a creepy little model (bugs being a bit of a leitmotif in the book).

And the result.

There's still a bit of a wait before you can all paws at this beauty. Letting It Go will hit stores in February. Until then, I'll leave you with these pages (three of my favourites):
