Tom Gauld on tour in the UK, Miriam Katin on tour in Canada this week!

Look, it's not often we get to have three authors on tour in three different countries during the SAME WEEK. Why don't we bask in it a little bit?

While Gilbert's talking comics in America this week (Wednesday in LA, Friday in Fort Worth, people!), Tom Gauld and Miriam Katin will be doing the same in the UK & Canada, respectively. Oh, to be in three places at once!

Tomorrow night in London, England, join Tom and the wonderful people of Gosh! Comics for the Official Jetpack Launch Party. People of London, this is a great chance to get your book signed, snag a sweet bookplate edition of You're All Just Jealous of My Jetpack, and drink beer with our very nicest British cartoonist. Don't miss it! 7:30 to 9 pm on Wednesday April 24 at Gosh Comics, 1 Berwick St in London.

And the following day, Thursday April 25 at 7 pm, you'll find Tom in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he'll be giving a talk and signing at Analogue Books, 39 Candlemaker Row in Edinburgh.

Finally, You're All Just Jealous of My Jetpack was featured in this weekend's Times, where Tom Gatti says: "Each single-page piece is a clever, funny, slightly bonkers riff on a literary theme... Gauld's graphic novel Goliath, published last year, was a sublime Beckettian take on the Bible. With Jetpack, he mops up everything else."

Miriam Katin, on the other hand, will be hitting the Canadian book festival circuit. On Friday April 26, find her at the Ottawa Writers Festival. Mark Medley of the National Post will be moderating a panel called "Writing Your Life" with Miriam Katin, Amber Dawn, and Iain Reid. Friday at 6:30 pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church (120 Lisgar St), tickets $15 in advance and $17 at the door.

On Sunday April 28 at 1 pm in Hotel 10 (10 Sherbrooke O.), Miriam will be giving her slideshow presentation at the Blue Metropolis Literary Festival. D+Q's Chris Oliveros is going to be there to introduce and help out with the Q&A session. Admission is free, so we hope to see all a few familiar faces in the audience.

P.S. Did we mention? Our pals at Cult Mtl and the Montreal Gazette have both included Miriam's talk as a 'highlight' of the fest!

All right... You know what to do, citizens of London, Los Angeles, Edinburgh, Dallas-Fort Worth, Ottawa, and Montreal! Happy international D+Q event week!
