Anders Nilsen at St Olaf College Tues Nov 12!

Northfield Minnesota, this is what's up! Anders Nilsen is gonna be in your town, talking about the interplay of myth and religion in his comics, especially in Rage of Poseidon and his current graphic-novel-in-progress, which is based on the myths of Sisyphus and Prometheus. He will discuss the ties between old stories and new meanings in his own work and in the culture at large.

The talk will be followed by a signing, and it all happens tomorrow, Tuesday November 12th at 7 pm in the Ditman Center, 305 of St Olaf College.

PLUS: Rage got a beautiful Publishers Weekly starred review and we think you should know:

"[Rage of Poseidon…] serves as a reminder of how durable the underlying myths and stories are, as well as how timeless human dreams and disappointments can be. The silhouette-heavy art is spellbinding, reminiscent at times of Paul Karasik and David Mazzucchelli’s work in City of Glass, telling the strangest stories with the straightest possible face. The book is also presented in an impressive accordion foldout format, making it an art object as well as a haunting collection of stories."
